Millenials Kill, chapter 11

So here’s the thing. I’m quite sure you’ve already noticed how I just put everything I like in this webcomic, no matter if it fits the story or not. I find this an interesting challenge. How to combine mafias, unionizing, anime, furries and much more. In this chapter we’re seeing more of the anime, because we’re now getting deeper into the lore of the animes produced in Breamburg. Let’s talk more about that after the comic! Enjoy!

So it’s time for Adin to try to get to the Anime Gala! The biggest mafia event! Let’s talk more about anime.

I don’t really watch much anime nowadays, but when I was a teenager, I absolutely loved Naruto. I did watch a lot of other animes too, such as Haibane Renmei, Claymore, Last Exile, No. 6, Soul Eater, Fullmetal Alchemist, Rose of Versailles and so on. To be honest, I would have loved to watch Bleach, but unfortunately my anime dealer wasn’t into that.

Yes, you heard right, I had an anime dealer. Basically the problem that I had was that I lived in such a small remote village that the internet connection was iffy at best. I couldn’t download, let alone stream, any animes myself. So I had to physically drive my moped to the nearest town center and get my animes on DVDs my anime dealer burnt for me. My main goal was to get the newest episodes of Naruto, but he would always just add some extra stuff on the DVDs if there was some space on them. That way I ended up watching whatever he liked to watch! I think my tastes would be completely different if I’d have chosen the animes to watch myself.

In any case I think this anime dealer I had inspired me a lot in making the mafia make anime instead of selling drugs. I mean having a drug dealer is more common than having an anime dealer. Even if this webcomic is a fictional story, it is almost like a self portrait of me, depicting all the different parts of my life that have made me who I am. As a self portrait Millenials Kill is quite abstract though, without knowing what I absolutely mean, you can’t know what the different parts mean for real. This is also why there’s mysteries hidden in the story. Fiction isn’t always what it looks like on the surface. This webcomic isn’t just a comic and the things in it aren’t just fiction or just facts.

Small reminder

I have Patreon. I just posted chapter 19 over there. It’ll take you 8 months to reach that chapter. You could just pay me $6 and read it all if you wanted to. Also I would be really happy about getting money and being able to draw more of climate comics and Millenials Kill, instead of illustrations for clients.
