Millenials Kill

Millenials Kill is an anti-capitalist thriller queer mafia comic parody (and a mouthfull). The story happens in a former corporate town where millennials are killing everything: industries, businesses, boomers and each other. A journalist with Pulizer prize in mind tries to uncover the secrets of the Sigma Wolf mafia running the place, but unfortunately he’s dumb as fuck. The readers are left to do their own digging if they want to learn the full story.

So let’s begin with the first chapter!

(Picture of a town with no people in it) Breamburg, once a beautiful bustling little town... It was first founded by the world's biggest oxygen product supplier Happi co. as the perfect place for their factory workers to raise their children in a safe environment. Everything was perfect... for 5 years.
(Panel 1, graffiti that says "Dex is the king of" on a wall) The town started slowly turning into a den of crime and chaos...
(Panel 2, silhouette of a man with a gun on the background. On foreground we see a red haired boy, main character, with a press bulletproof vest and a microphone, se says) And soon the worst happened. Breamburg was taken over by an organized crime syndicate run by a mysterious leader. The civilians of the town call this cruel man "the sigma wolf". Adin Herrera, reporting straight from the frontlines in down town Breamburg.
(Panel 1: Red haired main character, Adin, holds his hand out towards a very timid looking older lady in a green jacket in the background. Adin talks to the microphone) Let's interview some locals, who have lived under the reign of the Sigma wolf. Excuse me madam! Are you afraid of the mysterious mob boss, Sigma wolf? Do you feel terrified every time you walk out your door?
(Panel 2: Fullbody picture of Adin interviewing the smiling lady. The lady says) Sigma wolf? You mean my neighbor Robert! What a sweet guy! (Adin replies) Isn't he a mob boss? (Lady replies) Well yes, but he's such a nice mob boss! Ever since Robert and his lovely little friends got rid of that awful corporation, this place has been wonderful!
(Panel 1: Adin showes the old lady away from the mic looking stressed out and says) Okay hahah! Thank you for the interview lady! This isn't really what I was looking for! Maybe someone else, someone who looks more tormented...
(Panel 2: A tormented looking beautiful blonde young man looks sad. Adin is sweating from the stress of his work and asks) A-ha! You there! Let me ask about your tragic life! (The tormented youngster replies) Oh yes, indeed I have a tragic life. Truly every day my soul aches, because my band still doesn't have more than 126 followers on Instagram.
(Panel 3: Adin showes the mic to the boy and looks hopeful, the boy looks tormented and sad. Adin says) No, I mean the mafia! This town is run by a literal criminal organization! That must be awful, right? (Young man replies) Oh but why must you ask about the dark side of this town!? (Adin continues excitedly) Dark!? Finally some effing cintent! Pulizer, here I come!
(Panel 1: The young tormented man points behind himself) Robert and his crew- (Adin cuts him off) You mean Sigma Wolf? The man who's never been seen in public? (The tormented man continues) Yes! The sigma wolf! Robert walker from mainstreet 123! He's over there right now!
(Panel 2: We see Robert Walker in public. He's carrying a box full of guns. In the background there's a lot of people. The lady with green jacket, a black man in a suit, a long haired woman in a yellow car, a black girl with a notepad and cat ears... In front of the picture the tormented man first waves at Robert excitedly and yells) Hi Robert!! (and then he turns towards Adin whispering) Don't tell him I said this, but his crew never recycles their waste! And they keep making a huge mess in the public toilets! Oh the dark secrets of this town.
(Adin is just sitting alone on the curb, crying in his palms) I will never get a pulizer. (A voice comes from outside the picture) Excuse me, boy...
(The black very handsome man in a suit is just posing there and looking very handsome.) I couldn't help but notice your unethical conduct of journalism. The way you framed your questions was more biased than what I've seen in years! I'm the chief editor of Breamburg times, Fawke Hawk. And I'd like to hire you! You're just what this town needs! (Fawke holds a pause) Corruption!
(Panel 1: Adin is super excited! Fawke seems pleased with himself. Adin yells) A full time job!? That's even better than a pulizer! (Fawke replies) Oh, it's only part time.
(Panel 2: Adin has stars in his eyes, he's crying of happiness) In this economy? Still way better than a Pulizer! When can I start?
A very cool logo of Millenials Kill. It has a gun and blood red text that says Millenials Kill. It also says Comic by H-P Lehkonen. It's very cool.

This song shows Adin’s dedication to getting a Pulizer perfectly!

If you are interested, here’s a bit of the history of Millenials Kill. Basically in 2015 or so I was slowly getting frustrated in the comics I made. I felt that I only had time to make comics for work and I didn’t have any time to have fun with comics! I had been studying in the Liminka School of Arts and I remembered the times we just drew comics together for fun and to impress each other. We made funny comics about each other and the jokes in the comics were such inside jokes that nobody else would have ever thought of them as jokes. I missed that, so I started a comic called Tosi Huono Yaoi Sarjis.

Wait? What? Not Millenials Kill?

Yup, not Millenials kill. Tosi Huono Yaoi Sarjis, or THYS, was a bl parody comic that I drew as fast as I could manage! I made about 7 pages of it every day! I didn’t plan the plot, I just did whatever was the most fun in my opinion. The comic looked horrible and had more plotholes than some thing with a lot of holes in it! Here’s a page if you don’t believe it looked bad.

Badly drawn comic. Drawn with pencil only, all characters look wonky.

Now remember, this isn’t bad because “ugly drawing bad” it’s bad because it was bad for my personal level. I have read a ton of comics that look like this and I have loved them.

THYS got pretty long pretty soon, I mean drawing 7 pages a day is a lot! Though one page took me approximately 3 minutes, so it wasn’t that much of work. Eventually THYS ended without a proper ending as I just didn’t have time for it after beginning my Webtoon Life Outside the Circle.

Then years passed and in 2022 I started feeling like all my art was only done for work again. I didn’t draw stuff just for the joy of drawing! So I thought to myself “Why don’t I restart THYS, but like… make it dark, that’s what the cool kids do, right?” I’m not sure if that’s what cool kids do, but that certainly is what movie studios love doing to old comics! So changing THYS into a completely different comic, but with the same characters, brings in another level of parody into this parody. Nobody really needs to get that though, I’m making it for me.

So… I have always liked dark mafia AUs of my favorite characters, so of course I chose a mafia theme! THYS was queer, so of course this comic would become a queer mafia comic! Then I decided to add in some thriller elements because I had just watched the Hannibal series and of course it’s also anti-capitalist, because that’s just me… Next I needed a name for the comic. I had already started drawing it when I realized Millenials Kill is the perfect name! Most of the characters are either Gen Z or Millenials (and generally media tends to mix Gen Z with Millenials a lot, Millenial seems to just mean “general young person” to them) and they kill things. On the first page you can already read about the corporation they killed! No spoilers, but a mafia thriller comic normally includes killing, so be prepared.
