Millenials Kill, chapter 12

Making this comic isn’t my first rodeo. I have made multiple webcomics, like Immortal Nerd and Life Outside the Circle for Webtoons, but this time I don’t want to talk about those. I want to talk about my oldest webcomic! It wasn’t really a webcomic as much, more like a blog in comic form. I had it on Blogger.

Back then comic blogs were a big thing in Finland, so I wanted to make my own comic blog too. People used to draw short comics about their daily lives for their blogs. That was exactly what I did too. So I went on Blogger and made myself a .blogspot.com -blog. The comics I made for the blog were extremely boring. Nothing happened and there was no punchline. I’m glad I didn’t pay for a domain and website, Blogger was free to use and I would have felt bad for paying to host shit like that.

After blogging on blogspot.com for about a year I moved the blog to another service that was more popular among Finnish comic bloggers. I still have the paper originals for all the comics I made for the blog and boy do I cringe when I see them! But now it’s time for you to read a comic I don’t cringe when I’m reading it! I actually pat myself on the back for this one! I’ve come far from my Blogger-days!

So that was exciting! Now I have something even more exciting for you, some of my old comics from my old blog! Unfortunately they’re in Finnish, but I’ll write a translation below.

Translation: 27th of March, 2010, Saturday. // Who would have thought this would happen to me… I was so unaware of my destiny when I was on my way to the grocery store. // And then it happened! I thought it could only happen in movies! // What? // I almost formed a vulgar signal with my hand, but I was able to contain my anger and be serene like a enlightened monk.

Translation: 29th of March, 2010, Monday. // Let’s visit the Hallpis grocery store really fast. // Weell, I think I can pass through that. // Stuck. //Uh… Looks like we couldn’t pass after all. Yeah, we couldn’t. // Then a tractor pulled us out. // And the Ylivieska local newspaper interviewed us about getting stuck in the wet snow. // I’m almost sad I don’t live in Ylivieska anymore, now I can’t read that paper! Vieskalainen: Sensation!! Man’s car was stuck in wet snow!! See pictures on page 3. Experts say: Only a tractor can help.

Translation: 1st of April, 2010. // Next to our front door there’s these weird “shelves”. // I had decided to put shitty pokemon toys on it. But yesterday I noticed that… // They were gone!!! // There can only be one explanation… // There’s pokemon thieves in Liminka!! Citizens of Liminka! Keep your pokeymans safe!

I hope you enjoyed these ancient comics. Maybe I’ll post more of them some other time, tell me if you liked them and I’ll go through my blogspot and find more!
